Product Introduction
Flat twisted cable is a cable consisting of multiple conductors twisted and arranged in parallel into a ribbon structure. It is suitable for signal transmission and power connections within computers, home appliances, and communications equipment.
Material
Common materials for flat twisted cables are aluminum, aluminum alloy, copper, tinned copper and copper clad aluminum.
Joining Method
Each pair of conductors is twisted into pairs, then bonded together using heat pressing or ultrasonic bonding to form a flat ribbon.
Shape
The overall shape is a long, flat ribbon with uniform core spacing and a smooth surface, making it easy to bend and route.
Surface Insulation Material
Flame-retardant PVC, high-temperature resistant PE, or polytetrafluoroethylene (Teflon) extrusion coating are commonly used, providing insulation, moisture resistance, and wear resistance.

Aluminum Bare Wire Process

Extrusion
Aluminum rods are heated to 400–500°C, extruded through a die into a preliminary wire shape, and rapidly cooled to ensure uniform microstructure and stable properties.
Wire Drawing
Aluminum wire is continuously stretched through multi-stage tungsten steel dies to reduce diameter and extend length, while also improving tensile strength and surface finish.
Annealing
Heating the aluminum wire to 360–400°C eliminates internal stresses, promotes recrystallization, and improves flexibility and subsequent processing performance.
Flat Twisted Cable
Arrange multiple aluminum wires in parallel and keep the width uniform.


Flat Stranding (Twisting)
The wires are lightly twisted along their axis to form a structurally stable flat strand. Tension control is used to ensure conductivity and mechanical strength.
Shaping & Finishing
The wire shape is fixed through light calendering or heat treatment. Dimensions and insulation quality are inspected to ensure product compliance with technical specifications.
Reeling & Cutting
The finished flat stranded wire is reeled or cut into lengths for transportation, storage, and subsequent use.

Packing Reference
Wires are wound on plastic or wooden spools based on diameter and length. The outer layer is covered with moisture-proof film and labeled. Shock-absorbing foam or paper sheathing can be added to prevent damage.
